Chapter History
In October 2000, eighteen nurses, administrators and pharmaceutical representatives met to discuss starting a local chapter of ITNS. These members established the name of our chapter, elected officers, developed the mission statement, goals, and bylaws. Through the continued success of our chapter, we have reviewed and updated our mission, goals and bylaws to stay current.
As our chapter continued to develop, we increased our educational opportunities with dinner meetings, journal clubs, newsletter, annual conference, and presently our newly developed website. In the last few years we have awarded grants to members for assisting with their educational advancement.
We are entering our 9th year and going strong. We now have 60 plus members. Since our chapter’s inception, we have been privileged with dedicated elected officers, committees and our continued support of membership.
